Millions of people around the globe use alarm clocks to wake up in the morning. One of the problems with conventional alarm clocks is that they use loud alarms to wake up a person in the morning. This sound is an annoying start to their day and can cause problems with anyone else in the room, like a spouse or roommate that did not need to get up, but is awoken in the process.
Alarm clocks are old technology. They ignore the fact that the person sleeping could be in a deep sleep, and wake up the user at the exact time specified even if the person’s body is not yet ready to be woken up. Deep stages of sleep are the most restorative to the body. Being woken up during a deep stage of sleep will leave a person feeling as though they barely slept at all, while the best way to wake up is to arise during a light stage of sleep.
Smart Alarm has created a memory foam pillow that vibrates to wake up the user instead of a loud and annoying alarm clock. This makes the process of waking up easier for our customers who sleep in close proximity to others, because Smart Alarm won’t wake up anyone besides the user.
Smart Alarm also integrates a sleep cycle monitor into our pillow that will wake up the user when they are in a light stage of sleep, thus maximizing their rest. Our pillow has an accelerometer that can sense the movement of a person while they are asleep. Knowing that at person moves the most in the lightest stage of sleep, Smart Alarm can track the sleep pattern of the user and can wake them up when they are in the lightest stage of sleep at the time closest to when their desired wake up time is.
At the time of launch, our pillow will be the only pillow on the market that provides all of these superior features into one concise and fundamentally smart pillow.
